Folder: S.F. Protests and Picketing-1965.
Newscopy: "Picket lines sprouted at six downtown locations today on behalf of a distant and unaware protagonist--the red salmon of Alaska's Bristol Bay. Organized by the Congress of American Fishermen, and staffed by local union members, the demonstrations protested 'piracy' of the salmon by Japanese off-shore fishermen. Targets were the Japan Air Lines office at Powell and O'Farrell Streets, and the Emporium, Woolworth's, the City of Paris, Macy's, and Walgreen's. The reason for Japan Air Lines was obvious. The department stores were included, according to CAF [...] secretary John [...]. THEIR ANGLE-JAPANESE 'FISH PIRACY'--Pickets protest in front of Japan Air Lines Office."
