Newscopy: "Dogged Devotion to Duty Is Their Trademark-The San Francisco police department is so pleased with the work of its present canine corps it's training five new 'rookies' to bring the department total to 12. The newest doggy detectives, shown with their handlers, are (left) Czar, with Allyn Bragg; Rex, with Gerald Blume; Hans, with William Scheffer; Kelly, with Charles Beene; and Bourbon, with William Langlois. (This is one nip of bourbon that criminal-types may not care much for). The dogs are undergoing 9 weeks of training, and will then be assigned to regular patrol duties. -- News Call Bulletin Photo."
