"Mike Roberts Studio"
"Mr Joseph B. Strauss, builder of the Golden Gate Bridge, was born in 1870. The origianl idea for the construction of the bridge was brought to him in 1918. He began construction of this world's longest single suspension span on January 5, 1933, and the bridge was opened to vehicular traffic on May 28, 1937. Mr Strauss died in 1938[,] but his memory shall remain forever in this monumental edifice.-Caption on verso"
