"Here is a view that reflects a measure of the magnitude of the greatest bridge of its kind in the world. A few of the construction details follow for those interested in unusual accomplichment. Height of towers, 746 feet. Length of main span 4200 feet. Depth of south tower foundation is 100 feet under water. Clearance at center of span is 220 feet at high tide -- of the Brooklyn Bridge, which will clear all battleships -- 135 feet. It is [illegible] feet wide, the largest single span in the world, an the first and only bridge to be erected over the mouth of a harbor entrance.--Caption on verso"
