"The imposing and artistic setting of the Golden Gate Bridge across the Golden Gate can only be appreciated by those who have viewed the sight. This 4200 foot single span structure built at a cost of $5,000,000 is the connecting link between San Francisco and the Redwood Highway Scenic Wonderland. It brings the rich northern counties of California closer to the Metropolitan markets of San Francisco Bay area by direct rapid automative transportation. The bridge accomodates six lanes of vehicular traffic and two ten foot sidewalks.--Caption on verso"
