"Mlle. Floria, the Queen of the Rollers, appeared in this fancy costume while attending the Great and Grand Masked Carnival on the Rollers, held at San Francisco's Mechanic's Pavillion, which was located in the block now occupied by our Civic Auditorium. Prizes were offered for the best costume, and a professional costumer was in attendance to dress those participants without costumes of their own."
