For the magazine "Vector," Jasany created photo essays on bathhouses and gay male erotica. The papers contain a handful of "Vector" issues from 1974-1976 with Jasany's published work. There are some photos of Harvey Milk and Pat Norman, and formal shots for models.

Some portraits were chosen on the basis of the subjects' connection to the San Francisco Bay Area. Robert Giard (1939-2002) was a photographer based in Amagansett, N.Y. He began photographing gay and lesbian literary figures in 1985. The archives of his project includes over 500 images, some of which have been exhibited at the San Francisco and New York Public Libraries and many other venues.
