Newscopy: "A water main at Geary and Divisadero-sts burst today (at arrow), flooding the intersection and the basements of two nearby funeral homes. Streetcars on Geary-st were halted and passengers had to disembark, walk across the intersection. Muni officials feared the weight of loaded cars might cause the undermined street to cave in. Service was restored shortly before 9 a.m."
