Newscopy: "Work is under way on a series of projects designed to speed up traffic and abolish hazards on Junipero Serra-blvd. The initial project should be finished by June 1. It's being constructed by the city's Department of Public Works and consists of a viaduct over Junipero Serra to carry southbound traffic off Alemany-blvd. One of the supporting arches for the two-lane roadway is seem at right. Left is a road level view of the 1000-foot viaduct. It's being paid for with state gasoline tax funds. It will simplify the flow of Alemany traffic into Junipero Serra and also will connect with the Half Moon Bay road...".
