Folder: S.F. Streets-McAllister-1970's.
Printed on back: "Work has begun on widening the sidewalks of San Francisco's Market Street - an initial step in a $25 million reconstruction program that includes two-and-half miles of bronze street furniture. In the emphatically pedestrian-oriented new Market Street, vehicular traffic lanes will be held to four lanes with new herringbone patterned sidewalks being broadened to 35 feet. In background of photo above, a wooden flower stall masquerades as a bus - new bronze flower stalls should be considerably more elegant."
