Newscopy: "The 'model' system recently introduced here at several schools where children must board streetcars and buses at dangerous intersections is shown by Aptos Junior High School students. White lines painted on the sidewalk at Aptos and Ocean-avs guide the pupils as they board both entrances of the streetcar. Two teachers, traffic patrol boys and one policeman are on duty in the morning and afternoon rush periods. Previously the children jammed the cars, risking their lives on the heavily traveled street."
