Folder: S.F. Streets-Parker Avenue.
Newscopy: "WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?--Well, pal, you aren't going anywhere in that direction, because you're on Parker-av, just south of Anza-st, and that's a landslide. It's been there 11 1/2 years and nothing's been done about it. The San Francisco College for Women (on Lone Mountain to the left of and above the slide) has filed a damage suit, but the city won't admit liability, and says it will fix Parker-av, but not a private road within the college grounds."
Newscopy: "IT WON'T BE LONG NOW--At least, Mr. Fixit hopes it won't be too long before this 12 year-old road block is cleared from Parker-av on the shoulder of Lone Mountain. A landslide toppled several tons of the mountain on the street Dec. 26, 1935. Legal troubles have balked the city's repair efforts, but an agreement approved yesterday by the supervisors' finance committee should remove the last major obstacle to restoring the street."
