Newscopy: George Stinson, 43, "Singing Cop” of the California Highway Patrol, donned his uniform, mounted his motorcycle and sharpened a pencil at Sacramento April 30 as he returned to his former job. It was in 1937 that the late Madame Schumann-Heink heard the tenor singing and persuaded him to go to Italy to study voice. Stinson says he has donned his uniform again -- for good and "I guess I'm just a cop at heart."
