Ariel View of Navy Base on Site of '39 and '40 Fair--Looking south toward Yerba Buena Island, Bay Bridge and San Francisco is this aerial view of Treasure Island as it is today crowed with buildings and plants of the Navy base on the site of the well remembered exposition of 1939 and 1940. This photograph was taken above the eastern edge of the man made isle from blimp of the General Petroleum Corporation.. July 15, 1947
