Newscopy: Thomas Jefferson Memorial Foundation holds first radio meeting. New York…. For the first time since it's [sic] inception, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial Foundation conducted a regular business meeting via the radio, station WOR broadcasting direct from its studio in Chickering Hall. All national committees of the Jefferson Centennial Committee reported on the work being done for national observance of the 100th anniversary of the death of Thomas Jefferson. Many prominent persons identified with the Jefferson Memorial Foundation spoke over the radio, including Martin W. Littleton, former Chief Justice Alton B. Parker, Kathleen Norris. Mrs. Martin W. Littleton announced the donation of three interesting and valuable original silhouettes which are to be hung in the Jefferson home at Monticello, which has bee[n] acquired by the Memorial Foundation in perpetuation of the memory of Jefferson.
