Newscopy: "OREGON WOMAN ATTESTS BRIDGES REBUKE--San Francisco--Mrs. Dawn Lovelace, Portland, Ore., who says she and her husband were avowed Communists under their true names. testified that April 16, 1935, Harry Bridges, West Coast CIO labor leader, and three other men called at the Lovelace apartment seeking a waterfront union official; that she rebuked them because she thought it indiscreet for them to visit a known Communist, and later that night Bridges, her husband and a Portland Communist section organizer conferred on a telegram.
