Donor description: Members of SOMCAN, Manilatown, Trinity Plaza Association. Group photo - post-rally in front of Trinity Plaza building.
In 2003, tenants received a demolition notice to vacate building because landlord wanted to build condos in its place. But tenants fought for over 5 years and were able to win by preserving 360 units of rent controlled building. All tenants were able to stay in new building with existing contract and lifetime lease.
