Newscopy: "EATER OF LETTUCE--The Lion will dance again this year in the street of Chinatown, pausing at doorways that are festooned with red paper and with lettuce leaves. For here there is money on a stick, a stick which will be lowered down for the Lion when he has danced. Last year the Lion collected nearly 49000 here and in Oakland. It all goes to the Chinese Hospital."
