Newscopy: "After only two days of fast work, Mr. McCarthy's construction crews had the new dormitories up, as shown in this picture taken today. Each dormitory will provide sleeping accommodations for from 44 to 88 servicemen. With opening of the dormitories the Civic Center will become the 'hotel' for approximately 7000 servicemen."
