Newscopy: "Here's a brand new shot of the Civic Center, with the State Building in the background, showing some of the dormitories where quarters are provided for visiting servicemen for only four-bits a night. More than 1400 can be accommodated each night. Yup, the seagulls still are hanging around the Center. They've sort of taken over the middle section. The pigeons still are around, too, usually operating along the sidewalks, where the peanut pickings are better."
