Folder: S.F. Districts-Telegraph Hill-1970's. Printed on back: "FIREMEN'S MEMORIAL - Flanked by new high-rise apartments on Russian Hill is San Francisco's landmark Coit Tower, 210-foot shaft on 274-foot summit of neighboring Telegraph Hill. It was erected in 1933 by a bequest from Lillie H. Coit, a lady fire-buff, to memorialize volunteer firemen of the early days with whom she delighted to 'attend' blazes.".
