Attached to photo: "WATCH YOUR CREDIT LINE. SF3935--'P & A PHOTOS'. GRAPE MARKET GOING FULL BLAST. That California's famous vineyards have not closed down is very apparent when one looks over the grape market on S. F.'s waterfront. September and October are the heavy months for grape shipments in California and thousands of freight cars are arriving daily at S. F.'s grape market to be emptied and crushed into grape juice. A community press a short distance from the grape market is available to those without presses who desire their grapes crushed. Anyone in S. F. desiring a barrel of grape juice goes to the market, buys his grapes in the morning, takes it to the community press and proudly rolls home his barrel of grape juice in the evening. Photo shows men working the community grape press and filling barrels with the precious fluid. (B-PWEM)(?) 10-24-25".
