Newscopy: "The State Department of Public Works has agreed to an immediate study on the feasibility of the transit terminal at First and Mission Streets as a heliport. We hope the department will emphasize the word 'immediate.' The present makeshift heliport is a pier close by the Ferry Building. It is so dilapidated it cannot be used much longer. A safe, convenient heliport is an essential part of the Bay Area's interurban transit system. Its establishment is urgent.".
