Written on back: "The Balboa Building, at the southeast corner of Second and Market Streets (587-599 Market Street) was acquired today by Morton and Doris Rude in a transaction involving a trade for apartment buildings at 2001 Trusdale Avenue in Burlingame, California, and at 530 Chestnut Street in San Carlos. The properties involved are valued at approximately $3,500,000. The trade was negotiated by Milton Meyer & Co., with Byron R. Meyer acting in behalf of Mr. and Mrs. Rude."
Text, continued: "Rude is also part owner of the 10-story Cunard Building at the southwest corner of First and Market Streets. The sellers of the Balboa Building are a group of investors represented by Walter H. Shorenstein, President of Milton Meyer & Co. the Balboa Building is a 10-story steel and concrete building with 100 foot frontage on Market Street and 155 feet on Second. Major tenants in the building include the Canadian Government, Xerox Corporation, and Dictaphone Corp. Management of the building will continue under directions..."
