Newscopy: "San Francisco's wandering mansion, after a rest on the Marina green, took up its journey again yesterday. With the aid of a railroad barge and two huffing tugboats, the house sailed across the bay to its new home in Belvedere. That's Alcatraz in the background--but there were no stops for passengers. The 15-room mansion was moved from 1818 Broadway June 24 to make way for apartments. Architect Norman Gilroy will erect the old home on West Shore Road, Belvedere.".
