Newscopy: "Here's the house the bus hit. (Bus picture on Page 1.) Mr. Hiles, owner of the house, at 1506 23rd-av, points out the damage done. Mr. Hiles was shaving at the time and almost cut himself. There wasn't any 'almost' about the house. It couldn't dodge. Twelve occupants of the house were rudely awakened. Damage was estimated at $1000. The municipal bus, driven by George R. Mackin, 88 Peralta-st, was swerved to avoid hitting a car driven by Duane Hickman, steel worker, 1505 44th-av. The bus had no passengers. You can glimpse the bus through the opening at left."
