On back: "TO HOUSE LONG-TERM FEDERAL CIVIL PRISONERS - Pictured above is an air view of the military prison situated in an inaccessible spot on Alcatraz Island, in San Francisco Bay, California, which the Department of Justice will soon take over for desperate criminals. The new super-prison, which is expected to be ready within 30 days, will house 100 desperate criminals from Leavenworth Penitentiary, George 'Machine Gun' Kelly's first stopping place, and 100 more from Atlanta. It will have capacity for many more if necessary.".
