Folder: S.F. Islands-Treasure-1949. Newscopy: "Captain H. B. Edgar, director of training for the 12th Naval District, inspects film in the theater at Treasure Island to determine if it is still useful in the Navy's new program. With him are Captain A. John Bartky, dean of the Stanford University School of Education, on temporary duty, and Lieutenant Lillas B. Haw, WAVE officer who heads the evacuation section. Many of the training films used in wartime indoctrination have been found to be unsatisfactory and have been discarded. They've been replaced by new films.".
