On back: "This month Franklin Hospital commemorates 100 years of medical service to the citizens of San Francisco. Due to capacity operation, the nursing shortage and the pressure of the times, Franklin Hospital officials have decided to forego a formal celebration. Along with other institutions and business firms operating in San Francisco for the past 100 years the Hospital will be honored tomorrow (Thursday) during a Chamber of Commerce luncheon. Dwight K. Tripp (Left), president and general manager of the Hospital, and Dr. H. Clare Shepardson, chief of staff, are shown with Donna Drais (Left) and Norma Goehring, Franklin Hospital nurses, displaying a poster which will be placed in the hospital lobby calling attention to the historic event."
