Newscopy: "TUNNEL TEST--Pretty Sandy Teboe makes effective, but unscientific, illumination test by applying make-up in the new $1,750,000 Waldo Tunnel which will be opened to northbound Redwood Empire traffic soon. Tentative opening date is Sept. 19 but weather conditions may cause a delay. About 10 days after the tunnel is opened for northbound traffic it will take care of the flow of two-way traffic while the old tunnel and approaches are being reconditioned. In the background is the Golden Gate Bridge whose tolls will be reduced further on Oct. 1."
