Newscopy on back: "Eleven month old Suzanne Whitehouse had stopped breathing. She was in the backseat of a speeding patrol car with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Whitehouse. Policeman Milton Horbal picked up the frantic parents and the little girl late Tuesday afternoon at their home, 1512 Kirkham St., and was rushing them to Park Emergency Hospital. HE FEARED he was too late, but at 16th and Kirkham flagged down a fire engine on its way to the Whitehouse home with resuscitation equipment. By then the child was turning purple. Fireman Bob Willett covered the baby's face with a small plastic mask and began breathing into it through a slender tube. The patrol car, siren... $4 Gadget that saved a child's life.
