Written on front: "Birds-eye view of the Mission, as it appeared thirty-five years ago and as it appears at the present time. The point from which both these views are taken is a little east of Harrison street on Sixteenth, looking westward toward Mount Olympus. Presented to each No. 1 in the Mission Schools in December, 1891, as a Christmas Present from the Mission Journal."
