Newscopy: "Mattresses placed on the cement floor between cell blocks provide sleeping accommodations for overflow prisoners in San Francisco's county jail in the hills west of San Bruno. The jail, built to hold 600 prisoners, contained 746 in jostling discomfort last night. At extreme right is Deputy Sheriff Charles Ziegler making a count of prisoners lucky enough to have a cell bunk[s] to sleep in."
