Newscopy: "Despite dampish weather, the Art Commission's annual Open Air Art Show began as scheduled this morning, with good crowds on hand to view the work of some 600 artists, including 3000 items. Harold Zellerbach, Art Commission president, was among early visitors. Exhibits were posted in open-air booths, along the walks of Union Square. It was the city's second outdoor art show. Franz Bergmann was this year's art director. Exhibits included art-in-action displays."
