Folder: S.F. Airport-Proposed. Newscopy:"LOOKS LIKE A KITE-WELL, IT'S DESIGNED FOR FLYING -- This is an artist's map of Henry J. Kaiser's plan for a vast airport on reclaimed tidelands just off the shore of Berkeley. It is a 13-million-dollar proposal on a 1100-acre site. It would have a 47-foot runways and two large hangars. Army engineers are studiyng this proposition as well as one outlined by the Fred Parr interests, which would also be on Berkeley tidelands north of the old automobile pier".
