San Francisco History Center Postcard Collection "Cliff House and Seal Rocks, San Francisco. Five structures known as the 'Cliff House' have occupied this same site since 1858 - the one of today was built to replace the building destroyed by fire in 1907. There is no more popular place to dine. Visitors enjoy a close-up view of seals in their natural habitat on the rocks nearby." --Caption on verso.
