Donor description: Went into effect in 1972; donor was vice chair of the Bayview Hunters Point Joint Housing Committee. These individuals organized and demanded preference, which resulted in an MOA and Certificate of Preference; each individual 18 and older received $4500 and a certificate; all youth under 18 received certificates only. When donor moved "off the hill" he received his certificate (in 1972). No matter where an individual moves the certificate must be honored.

All requests for permission to publish from photographs must be submitted in writing to the Photo Curator. Permission for publication is given on behalf of the San Francisco Public Library as the owner of the physical items.
