Written on front: "THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL A NIGHTHAWK. CISCO, CALIFORNIA...Ski jumping in the day time is an old Norwegian custom but in the abovwe photo it is being done at night. The photo shows Roy Mikkelson [sic] of the Auburn ski club and former National Champion, leaping off the 'B' hill at Cisco at midnight. The picture was taken at one two-thousandth of a second. It is the first known night picture."
