Newscopy: CUBAN CHESS CHAMPION FETED ON ARRIVAL IN HAVANA! Above is a scene in front of the Cuban newspaper offices of El Sol, when Jose Raul Capablanca, world's champion chess master, was taken to the newspaper's editorial rooms for a "champagne de honor", soon after his arrival in Havana from a successful tournament in New York City. More than 5,000 admirers gathered at the docks to welcome the Cuban chess wizard, the Cuban congress will grant the champion an annual pension of $4,800 for life for his achievements in the chess world.
