Newscopy: BURT LANCASTER AS 'BIRDMAN OF ALCATRAZ' -- Actor Burt Lancaster, who plays the title role, and Thomas E. Gaddis, author of "Birdman of Alcatraz," get together on a studio set in Hollywood during filming of the story about a federal prisoner who became a famed authority on birds during his 43 years in solitary confinement. Gaddis is technical supervisor for the movie. Subject of the biography and film is Robert Stroud, now at a Springfield, Mo., federal prison hospital.
